Cancellation Policy

This document sets out the general terms and conditions between Cachorro, the contractor, and the client who owns a dog or pet. It details the obligations, fees, health and liability of both parties in relation to the pet walking and care service. Key definitions include ‘Contractor’, “Client” and ‘Assignment’. The general conditions apply to the agreement between the Client and the Contractor, prevailing over any conflicting provisions. Rates are indicated per service, excluding additional costs such as food and medication. Payments must be made immediately after the service is performed, and penalties are established for late payments. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the dog is vaccinated and free of disease prior to walks. The Contractor may refuse service if the dog does not meet the health requirements. The Contractor's responsibilities are specified, including proper care of the dog and communication about its health. The Contractor is not liable for damage to the dog during the assignment, unless there is gross negligence. In addition, it is established that costs for illness or accidents are borne by the Client. The Contractor has the right to cancel the service in case of adverse weather conditions or force majeure. They may also refuse service if the dog is ill or in heat. The Client must inform the Contractor of any health problems the dog may have and provide any necessary medication. The Contractor must treat the dog responsibly and keep the Client informed of any abnormal behaviour. The Client must ensure that the dog is present at the agreed address and provide access to the Contractor. If the Client cancels the service less than 24 hours in advance, the full cost will be charged. The Contractor is not liable for damage to the dog during the assignment, except in cases of gross negligence. Any costs for illness, injury or death of the dog during the assignment will be the responsibility of the Client. The Contractor may use photos taken during the assignment for their own purposes, unless expressly prohibited by the Client. The Client must provide all necessary information about the dog and ensure that it is covered by family insurance. The Contractor is not liable for damage to the Client's home caused by the dog. Complaints about the services provided by the Contractor may be sent by email and will be responded to within 48 hours. Cancellations can be made up to one week before the start of the care period, with a full refund.
